ATTENTION BOOK LOVERS!
You are cordially invited to our first upcoming book event Sat. June 4th at the Thensted Outreach Center in Grand Coteau, La.
The following month the event will be on Sat. July 9th, and then on August 6th. We plan for this event to be held the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. But email us to confirm the dates from September onward.
Local author and TV show producer, Sudie Landry, and Neal Bertrand, author and publisher, have started a monthly book rally for local authors to come display their books and have a book signing and sale. The public and all BOOK LOVERS are invited.
WHERE? At the Thensted Outreach Center, 268 Church Street, Grand Coteau, La.
WHAT TIME? from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
COST? Free! There is no admission charge to authors or visiting book lovers. However, donations of gently used clothes, toys, canned goods, paper towels, bathroom tissue, etc. are appreciated. We ask that all people attending these events bring a donation to help the Thensted Outreach Center in return for their generosity in allowing us to use their building.
Only 14 author tables/chairs will be available FREE OF CHARGE on a first-come first served basis. Authors MUST email Sudie Landry to reserve a table. Her email is praisemusicpro@cox.net .
Ideally, we would like authors that have
- physical books to display,
- a following on social media, (good to have, but not totally necessary)
- and/or a mailing list of fans they could invite to these events. (good to have, but not totally necessary)
If all 14 authors at the event could bring in their fans PLUS new book lovers, that would mean fresh eyes looking at ALL the books on display from the other authors in the room, producing more sales for everyone. 100% of the sales go directly to the author.
The Thensted Center is providing a large air conditioned room for us to meet in FREE of charge. This place is a community outreach for the less fortunate in the town of Grand Coteau.
